1st pass story-reel

I've finally finished my 1st pass story reel! I am so excited to get things started this semester.  It did not take me that long either.  Here's my first pass story reel. I want to mention a few things before you begin to watch it.  There will be beeps indicating cuts, tempo beats for the animation, and there will be narration going. It's not too busy with the noise thankfully with all that in there. But, you will hear other things. Also, the last thing that I wanted to mention was that there is no sound effects yet or tone with the story reel.  Tone is like icing on a cake and that will come later once, I get everything worked out. But, anyways, enjoy. And wish me luck, this next week I will be presenting this to my professors and classmates to see if the project will be greenlit. Please wish me luck. Thank you all for visiting and I hope there is more to come.

Clean Boards :)

My boards for my story reel are finally cleaned up.  :) I am so excited! All I have to do is put my story reel together for my presentation.  Of course there will be many alterations to come this fall semester and during the spring semester if my piece gets picked.  I am going on a family trip for tuesday and wednesday but, on thursday and friday I will be putting together my story reel.  It's very close to being ready for the presentation.  I am glad my boards are done so, I will be posting my story reel here in the next few days. So keep looking. :)

Rough Digital Boards

The last two days I have been working hard on my storyboards.  I'm always very sketchy in the beginning .I am going back today, cleaning them up and making a second set that is strictly story reel and not animatic.  I ended up making them almost animatic storyboards.  But, the good thing is it still worked and looked nice.  I like doing animatic work because, it allows me to see where my characters will be next and where they will be placed. It was more work but, it worked well. So, what I have been doing now after I got these done is I went to this artist's blog. His name is Toby Shelton. If you haven't heard of him you have to look him up. He is an amazing storyboard artist. His boards are wonderful to look at. I picked up a few tips that have been helping me, when I looked at his boards.  So, with that artist in mind I'm making sure my boards are storyboards not animatic and I'm going to practice making sure that I don't make too much work for myself.   But, anyways before I ramble too much, here's his blog site. -> http://tobyshelton.blogspot.com/

Here are my rough digital boards. This week is clean up.  The words aren't there yet, but, here is a rough preview of what my short film will look like. I hope you enjoy.
